In view of the latest information I think I'll wait and see what his comes back like.

The ones I wasnt happy with were the coilovers on the s2 that i had and took off. They qere a comp brake type kit.
Doug at mrc has now sent a set of ur quattro struts to h&r on my behalf for them to make me some coilovers based on the setup that they normally use for the s2. The only downside to this that i can think of is that they'll be made for a car that is 200kgs heavier so they might be a touch firmer (which i dont mind).

sal, that is probably good, since most serious people in scandinavia thinks that the hr and kw kits are too soft at real track driving... for road use, ehrm.. not that fun

One thing i've learned we are way behind the Scandinavians!

            Sal,

Do you know what the total cost will be for the modifications to the struts? Also, what springs and load weights for front and rear are you planning to use?

H&r are going to mod the struts and use whatever spring/shock combination that they use for the s2.
I dont know what the settings are but if you speak to anyone who has them on an s2 they'll tell you how good they are

Reason for asking is that I've had a chat with Sal as he's used these and in the end gave up as he just couldn't get it right and went back to Konis with H&R springs.

I really like the idea of coilovers but I've not come across anyone as yet who've had success with the UR.
It is what I am using yes.

The UR strut is 54mm outside diameter once given a clean up with a flap wheel perfect for the compbrake sleves.
