We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
Something we are definitely going to have to watch out for with this particular mod is where the drop link attaches to the strut, that is a LOT more stress going to that mount bracket and it may not be able to handle it.
Forgot to say - I was originally going to use only one of the mounts on the strut but it looked flimsey. I bent the rear one forward to double up the bracket - I'll see how it goes.
Originally posted by Greg_S Doug, completely off the subject but whats the thing in your second photo on the right, looks like a boat with tank tracks. lol.
I was watching that thing earlier today - the landscapers have tracked wheelbarrow - they were moving rocks around with it - they have handles with controls and walk behind it!
The old s2 front ARB on the back of my coupe is also a great mod. I handles so much better. BUT, i gives a bit of rear wheel lift in the corners, but also a hint of front wheel lift which is very good for high speed cornering.
Welded drop links are still ok even after my track day etc. Have not bent or broken. Very pleased with that mod. Just need to dial in some more neg. camber on the rear.

I don't think the problem is with Demon Tweeks (I'm probably wasn't being fair to them) they have ordered it from Whiteline and are waiting for it to arrive.
If it can be cut, bent, drilled, tapped, shafted, milled or threaded then he's yer man !!
Glad to hear it drives nice - on the dry anyway, but those droplinks just look wrong in the photo. Anyone with contacts at a friendly machine shop could easily get suitably bushed and adjustable ones for the job.

I now have a huge list of mods for Mark to do this weekend
If only Paul, Mihnea, Mark, Marco and Martyn had a tuning company - we could drive our shed in and come out with 500bhp, as new monster :wacked:

Yes - that was the trial fit of droplinks - I mounted them on the other side of the brackets after I moved the top inner bracket. They sit more vertical now.
Just been reading up on the RS2 and the fromt ARB is 28mm (as oposed to 26) and the rear 16mm (as opposed to only 12.5!)
So the question is where can you get a bigger rear ARB for an Avant to get rid of some (or all) of the oversteer.
Never driven an RS2 but I'm guessing it understeers. Mind you one review I read said that the understeer wasn't there. Maybe because of the Bilstein shocks?
Stop picking on us old folks, have a heart! you should respect your elders.
I would of got a Coupe, but I don't think I could lift the tailgate on my own, and young men are so hard to come by. What ever happened to bob a job week?
