    Hi,
What are the options / choices for the suspension system (incl. coilovers) for the S2 and the RS2?

i suggest having a ride in other peoples cars you buy, certainly with coilovers - unless you don't care about your spine.

IMHO coilovers are unsuitable for the state of the majority of UK roads, and road cars in geneal as they need a lot of maintenance, but each to their own.

General concensus is that Konis and H&Rs are the best compromise for handling and comfort.

Bilsteins and stock springs is also very civilised. HTH

The koni's are hard to get. tirerack.com only has the front koni shocks. the rear koni shocks are obsolete from koni.
any particular online store (german site, UK, US site) that does koni, kw, eibach for the S2 and RS2, send internationally?

Hi , on my compi I changed the rear shocks with OEM - BOGE ones, they were ~200 euros each. I think they're the same in the S2. The suspension is pretty stiff now ... I wouldn't recommend them for uneven roads or potholes. I've noticed that the KONIs in a friend's Avant are more comfortable, I regret going for the BOGEs now. The KONI part number for the rear shocks is 8210-1160 SPORT , and there's a seller on ebay.de that ships internationally. For the front axle I haven't decided yet . A lot of pros for the bilsteins, but a lot of cons as well.

Maybe somebody used more than 1 make on the same car/same roads and wants to share some first hand experience
