  • Slick50 PAS fluid

    Hi all
Views please -I spotted a bottle of Slick50 Power Steering Leak Stop fluid in Halfords at the weekend.

Anyone got any knowledge of this product? Is it ok to use, or will it be instant death to my PAS system?

I have a leaky rack which I still haven't replaced yet, but was wondering if slapping a bottle of this stuff in there might be worth a go?

    Cheers

I would not recommend using this in an S2. Standard power steering systems use ATF - which is what this is designed to be mixed with.

Dont go there, bite the bullet and do the rack. If this stuff makes the seals in the rack swell up or something, then god knows what will happen to the pump, servo etc etc

I thought as much. I'm going to have to bite the bullet on a few things quite soon, rugh.
