    RS2 v S2 Suspension

    Really basic question.

Are the basic suspensions, wishbones, struts etc, front and rear, on the two cars the same? Looking at the cost of building up 4 new corners to swap on, shot blasted, powder coated and rebushed, and need to know what I have to get together to do it.

    Any advice gladly received.

    Paul.

    .

Yes, but for the saloon and avant s2 only...NOT coupe.

Coupe will only yield front end parts, and the early a4q will only yield rear end parts.

    Make any sense.

On the look out for less bits for my s2 saloon project. Now supporting myself by shooting for my food. www.airgunforum.co.uk

Thanks for that, think it makes sense. I take it the front and rear struts and coilovers are the same apart from the springs and inserts?

        Uhhh no...

S2 Coupe is B3 quattro ==> McPherson struts front and rear (not same struts at each end)

RS2 and S2 Avan/Limo is B4 quattro ==> McPherson front (same as B3) but dual wishbone links to rear hub carrier... very different from B3 rear

Before I take the plunge, can anyone confirm that the S2 Coupe cast front wishbones fit the RS2?
