    Alloy Top mounts

Did a bit of reading here and looks like QRS used to make them (I don't see them on their website anymore).
    Who makes these?
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AUDI-S2-RS2-SO...item4a9cca3420
Looks like the same thing except in black rather than the funky blue.

    Thanks

There are some from compbrake. I am looking at making some offset ones too. Not cheap but over-engineered to hell.

I have had those on my car for now 8 years!!!

Have never had any problems with them at all! They are FAR BETTER than the garbage Audi OEM parts. I was going through a set a year. Finally went over to the solid mounts & am quite satisfied.

You may also want to consider some Pro-Mounts. I think they work out at similar money.

I will be fitting some of the QRS ones soon, so i'll let you know how i get on with them.
pixaudi once recommended to me that if you use the QRS or compbrake ones it is worth dripping a tiny bit of engine oil onto the spherical bearing every now and again (when you top up or oil change) and apparently he's never had any probs and he had them fitted for years.

I was looking at these a while back - apparently the bearings can wear out quickly and rattle.
I spoke to Compbrake and the bearings are replaceable for roughly that same price as a set of new OEMs (circa £15 each), you can also upgrade to a motorsport spec beaaaring for about £30 each IIRC, although IMHO they are still undersized bearings for the job.

I considered using them but would rather wait and try Mr Casey's offset ones

Compbrake made the mounts for QRS. They are one and the same.

                            Bumping this thread..

I want to place an order on a set of top mounts from Comp Brake, but it seems like they dont want to send to Norway..
Ive sent them a mail requesting the mounts, but I dont get any answer from them..

Could anyone help me out here?

I was looking at the Compbrake ones since I'm after something a bit more sturdy than stock.

I was also looking at the 034Motorsport mounts, but their site quoted me $90 for shipping?!

                              Anyone got any recommendations?
