Hello, I'm finally going to do my car, and I want to get rid of the lowering springs, so I would like to know where to get a suspension kit, all round, for my s2 avant. I would like the ride height to be not too low.
I would appreciate any pointers please.
Can I buy rs2 suspension and fit it straight on to my ABY?
Thanks.
whats the difference between the kw variant and h+r?
The kw kits can be bought off the shelf, so I dont have to piss about waiting for stuff.
I'm not full of cash, so the difference between a grand and fifteen hundred quid with respect to the variant 1 and 3?
I'm off to the ring at the end of june, so I'm gonna treat the car to shocks, springs, wheels and tyres plus turbo etc.I've got to do all this in the next couple of weeks, so any help will be appreciated.

ps.looking for a set of 18's with boots on in the midlands area if any are for sale!
My avant has RS2 shocks and S2 H&R's. Rides great IMO, not the bone-shaking experience of the Bilstein's, yet has little pitch and roll.
I reckon there has to be a wierd mix up of experience and or parts here....
I've got new Bilstein and new H&R and the ride could never (even by my 70 year old inlaws) be described as bone shaking. In fact the setup is better, than the oem spring & RS2 damper setup. If you don't believe me, ask Audiman who fitted them and test drove my car a few times.
The best explanation is that newer H&R and newer Bilstein are nicer/better than the older kit.
I would be interested to know what Bilstein parts you fitted Lloyd, that sounds like you're having your cake and eating it to me! If the ride is improved with better handling, it seems like a no-brainer to me next time i change shocks.
The Bilstein/HR combo were on my Coupe admittedly so perhaps I'm comparing apples with pears, but any bumpy section of road was very harsh whereas the Avant with H&R/RS2 combo maintains a reasonably comfortable ride great handling.
As I said, mine has RS2 shocks, and also has S2 H&R springs.
It handles well enough with little bodyroll and is resonably firm without being bumpy or harsh

Well the dampers were the usual S2 front/S4 rear versions and the springs were definitely a newer black/grey colour H&R set ending in 69. I put it down to the H&R's being variable rate and initially softer than OEM RS2.
The other surprise is that they didn't drop the car anywhere close to what I imagined they would. Still an inch to inch half gap above tyre before arch. Ideal for the speed bumps around here. Really pleased.
