    DIY coilover suspension for 90Q

    Hi there,

I want to convert my 90Q suspension over to coilover. However the Rally design website only does 2" threaded platforms. And by my measurements, the shock is thicker than that.

Has anyone done this and have some advice, or where I can get the platforms etc?

    Thanks

    James

I may be getting rid of my parts I got soon, i'll let you know. I've got to have another look for the pipe as so far I can't find the one that came off my old s2.

      Hi James.

My 90 is running coilover kits from Compbrake.

It also has top mounts from the same firm.

If you need any photos or measurements of mine, just let me know.

      Paul.

the kit only contains 2 tubes 2 lock-nuts and 2 nuts with "springseat"

for all 4 corners 200€ is correct. made from blacksteel and perfect fitment

What springs do you recommend with that kit?

depends on stiffness what upper spring perch you have and where you want it..

i have no real life experience, but a person that bought this kit uses 152mm main springs, pretty stiff, around 120N/mm i think. and helper springs etc, he have adjusted the coils to the bottom to get correct height.

i have the 178mm long springs, but my top-mounts are higher up.

                    Hi there,
What size do I need for the threaded length to fit over the shock? 2 1/4?
                    Thanks

over here i make my own setups from off the shelf race parts.

Tutorial NOT FOUND. I would not want anyone thinking that i "have irresistible need to display what you can or what you think you can." also, i want to distance myself from any recourse if you did what i did and it didnt work out for you. because i do something, document it, prove it and run...
