Think theres a how to somewhere, and personally just after doing one on the s6

Main thing is you will need a hydraulic press, so unless you have one, know some with one or are friendly local garage, be best sort out one those options then
Basically start by losening the big hub bolt car on the ground, jack up, put axle stand in, remove wheel, remove brakes, undo bottom joint, remove the to strut to carrier bolts, revove abs sensor, extract carrier, press out flange, press out bearing, fit new bearing and do reversal.
If never done before give yourself a day, if everything is loose and know what your doing give yourself 2 hours

If sounds to much, garage or a mechanic friend, beer or food tends to work on me if people want things done

    Good luck

I personally take of the whole strut as then the alignment is not affected (by undoing the carrier bolts) and just disconnect the abs sensor at the next plug in the wiring.

Is possible however I hate the awkwardness of handling the whole strut and prefer just working with the carrier only at the press ete, also more use to my 90 where doing the strut top nut is a real c*nt

just make sure you use the right size drift (approx 74mm for the rear bearings on a coupe) to drive the bearing in against the outer race or you'll f**k it it up
