steering rack gater

kind man at MOT station didnt fail my car he called me over an just pointed out my steering rack gater has split he said i know you will do it, is this job best done from underneath coz it looks a nightmare from above. please

Think its a £1.89 part from Euro car parts. Its a pretty simple job just remove the steering arm joints from the bracket and remove the bracket out of the way and slide the old one off. Its worth buying a new plastic end stopper part as well.

you have to do it from above. turn the steering wheel to the far right...
