    ETKA - PAS Pump numbers

Just a quickie, is the PAS Pump the same from a 1995 ACE (16v) Coupe to an ABY Estate. Just had a quick rummage on ETKA and it's shown 054 145 165K (Tamdem Vain Pump) for both, but I don't trust my skills with ETKA...

    Kind regards

Yes, i get the same answer.

054 145 165 K is an old part number, Dec/98 it changed to 054 145 165 KX, then in May/01 it changed to 8G0 145 165 X. That part number is listed for ABY/ADU and the ACE engine.

While i was on the subject i looked at 7A/3B units are they have a different part number. 034 145 165 which was dropped in 2004 without replacement

Thank you Sir... Appreciated... I was convinced a 4pot PAS system would have a different pump, but it appears I'm wrong....

I'll compare my CQ one to a knackered RS2 one i'm tinkering with, i'm sure they are the same

They look almost identical, only difference i remember is the hose connections, i think older cars used a banjo with alloy washers, were as later cars had a banjo with o-rings instead. Not sure whats different about the pump itself, may have a different size thread on one of the outputs.

I asked Paul in CAC if the pressure specs of the two bombs are any different and he said no, only difference is the hose connections. I concluded the pump, two high pressure hoses, and the bomb were the only difference between a 7A and ABY. And the catch tank obviously.
