    URS6 suspension lowering kit

    looking for a set of shocks and springs just to get the height of the car down a bit as i cant stretch to coilovers.
    looked on e bay but no real joy, any tips on where to get some?

    also anyone know if i can buy the bush on the rear suspension arms, the ones on the inner mounted furthest back on the car or do i need a complete arm assy?

    thanks

    H&R makes lowering springs for the C4 S4 and S6.

    As for the suspension parts, have a look at this C4 UrS rear suspension post and identify which part you are talking about:

      There are some spring alternatives listed in this UrS front suspension post:

          Alot of people like the eibach springs as uk roads are shocking (excuse the pun!) and they only drop 30mm. Koni shocks go well on them, my UrS4 has this set up, but shockwise i prefere the yellow Billstein B6 ones, which i have on my S6.

              My S4 came like it so i don't know. I think 50mm would make it drive awefull to be honest, i did it with another car and regretted it till i put it back up a bit. My Billsteins were £120 a corner but i think there superb.

              This is my S4 lowered by 30mm;

              i think any lower would make it a pain!

                def need more than 30mm i'm scared of heights

                my b4 v6 tdi was 90mm that was too low!!

                will have to keep searching, got a nasty knocking from the o/s/f which i think is the shock as i cant find any play in anything and it drives rather like a boat at the moment and i cant handle that !

                      I have Eibachs and Bilsteins and they make one heck of a difference! I believe that Konis are slightly softer if that's your thing. I wouldn't go any lower than with this setup. The front camber goes out of spec as it is. You don't want to make this any worse unless of course you enjoy replacing tyres!!
                      '93 S4 Avant now back on the road complete with new shiny go faster bits.

                              Gary! Didn't know motocrossmad was you until you posted that unicom link above. We miss you and your excellent photos on the quattroworld (the migration point for those that left audiworld Original S cars). Hope things are going well for you.
