    Power Steering Coolant Pipe

Right, i have a leak from the pas cooling pipe (the ridged one). I assume its this..its the highest wettest point i can find. looks like its coming out from the joint towards the header tank.

question it...does it need to be a cooling pipe? i have a feeling this could be expensive from the stealers!

if it does...any one got a spare?

    cheers

Its most likely not the ribbed metal pipe thats leaking but the rubber hose that joins it to the reservoir. Maybe take the reservoir out and inspect the hoses that joins the two together...

If it is the metal pipe thats leaking then im sure someone can sell you a secondhand one cheap.

I don't see why not, I replaced mine with a length of garden hose once to get me home

i think it would be okay but i'd get something a bit more rigid and robust tbh....I think that stuff gets pretty hot so it's age the silicone pretty quickly. I think i renewed the entire circuit from Pirtek for about £145 from memory so a bit of oil/petrol resistant hose would be cheap and do the job.
