Would saloon be the same as avant (I know it obviously shares rear susp. as a whole)? Or should they be slightly different due to less weight at the rear?
My second project set would be for saloon.

Rear avant and sedan springs will be same design / shape of course - B4 rear is common - but yes obviously some difference in the rate or the dimensions to accomodate different load carrying capability in the rear between the two. I would wager that an S2 Avant rear spring would stiffen up an S2 Sedan but the ride height will be too high.
I'd have thought that the fronts would work OK, sitting a little higher than designed but with about the right spring rate but the rears will sit too high. Such a specialist and diverse application that coilovers would be the best bet there.
