OE Spring Colour Spots

Got some Avant front springs here which I can't find a reference for on the family album.

They have 2 orange and 3 blue spots on them.

Album has

2 orange, 2 blue, 1 white for ABY A/C

and

2 orange 1 blue 1 white for ABY.

Iv'e looked and looked and these are almost certainly as I stated above... Any pointers? Ta

I've had a quick look over the family album (including data history) and the only front springs close are ABM or ADA (1.6) springs.

They have 2 yellow and 3 blue paint marks.

From memory orange/blue are just regular coupe front springs, i.e. 2.0 and v6. 7A's were unique and S2 versions have a white mark.

Good point well made. I didn't have time yesterday to search through other models but I have looked this morning and there is indeed a matching 2orange/3blue 1BE spring from the Coupe and coupe quattro.

It fits:
NG and ACE engines with air con
NG engines with 4 speed automatic
AAH and ABC engines with manual gearbox

1BE is sports suspension code so that must be right for those models. 7A and S2 got something a bit stiffer.

Ah right, wouldn't appear to be S2 Avant ABY stuff then... cheers kids
