HP2 struts barkes? A6 tdi 5 cyl quattro

just wondering, does an 1997 A6 Avant TDi 5 cylinder quattro have HP2 struts/brakes?

And if not, can they be fitted?

I ask because i've been offered HP2 struts with H&R springs and Billisine dampers. Unfortunately there are no discs or brakes with the sale.

So will the cars original brakes bolt strait on? or will I need a set of HP2 brakes also?

Brake calipers (and rotors) and wheel bearing housings have to be a matched set, otherwise, the only way it will work will be if you make your own caliper brackets (not recommend for the home DIYer). The HP2 struts would be a "score" but you will need the HP2 brakes, caliper brackets and rotors (and pads) to complete the upgrade.

Bought a complete set of hp2 struts & calipers from Spink for my c4 2.5 tdi
got new pads & discs Swapping original(as in c4 tdi)weitec springs & shocks over (only a month old) cleaned & painted sitting in workshop waiting to be fitted when work gets a bit less hectic!! but i am running 16" avus, think they are the smallest that will clear the 314mm discs

Yep, no hp2 in 2.5tdi but the struts are bolt on.
