a friend with a coupe quattro has just replced his front shocks with boge items
are these better for road use than bilstein b6s?
My quattro is a bit too bumpy ( yeh its a track car, but it gets driven there)
and i want to use it more on the road, are these a suitable shock for a compromise of both worlds?
boge are oem on many audi's so quality wise they are good, mine lasted well before switching to Billies and H&Rs. If you are wanting more performance then I wouldnt be fitting them though I dont think, there are better options. Having said that putting a fresh set on and keeping it stock will still yield some benefits so best to decide what you want them for
boge items on my rs2 were leaking after 20K kms. Payed the same amount for them as the bilsteins and my current bilsteins are still good and done over 40K kms already.
they may need replacing, but at least those are servicable. All you need is 2 sets so that you can switfly change if you dont have any time to wait with the car in the garage.

I had this problem with the ones I fitted to my Golf... Started leaking after 3 months...
