Thats a really nice guide
Having done similar myself, i wish i had read something liek this before the first time as i found the whole thing a bit of a chinese puzzle and began to wonder if it was even possible to re-assemble, perseverance payed off in the end...Black B3 1990 CQ 2.3E converted to ABY & 6spd. Very nice writeup
I didn't find this thread before I already bought new inner and outer CV's for my (93 Avant) s2 right front shaft.
The new CV's came with grease but now I've managed to mix the two, one is containing 90g and the other is 120g
As it's important to have the right amount of grease I searched and what I found made me a bit confused ...
s2central :
Front :
- inner 108mm = 120g
- outer 98mm = 120g
Rear :
- inner 108mm = 120g
- outer 89mm = 90g
quattroworld :
Outer :
- 89mm : 90g ( 40 grams joint, 50 grams bellows )
- 98mm : 120g ( 80 grams joint, 40 grams bellows )
Inner :
- 100mm : 80g ( 30 grams joint, 50 grams bellows )
- 108mm : 120g ( 35 grams joint, 85 grams bellows )
both s2central and quattroworld states 108mm inner and 98mm outer to have 120g so I guess this is correct
but, then I got the wrong amount for one of my CV's as it's one 108mm inner and one 98mm outer as both should have been 120g ...
I got a 400g of Moly Disulphide "grade 2", anyone know if that's.ok to use ?

Probably confirmed s2 front both inner/outer joints to "need" 120 g
checked ETKA A80Q 1993 407-020 and it has the same, 120g (part# G 052133A3) for both inner and outer CV

but,
still need to know if Moly Disulphide "grade 2" is ok to use ... ?Attached FilesLast edited by pfi; 18 July 2022, 19:21.
