    URS4 Lowering Springs

    Hiya
I am looking to get some advice on which lowering springs offer the best value for money for the saloon and for those who have fitted them, what are the pros and cons?
I.E: has it ******edd up the wheel geoemtry.
I am looking at about a 30mm drop.
Mine is stock but running just a little too high for me and I want to keep the Fuchs and make them look as though they fit the arches better.
    Cheers

You can't go wrong with H&R or Eibach, but also G&M and Weitec can be a good choise.

Yours does look a little high for some reason??
I took the lowering springs and dampers off my S6 due to the go-kart feel, very hard and uncomfortable, on the roads near me.
Not my ideal for everyday use, but its all down to the owners choice.
I would advise a geo check afterwards.

I had Eibach on for a while. Quite confortable but don't go to low. More than 40 mm and S4 will hit more than you like. I ended up with original S4 sport springs

I'm running the H&R 29800 with Bilstein B8s on my S6. They're great for track/A-roads but awful for a daily driver down in Cornwall

If you're thinking of lowering for looks, then consider the roads you're going to be driving on because if they're rough/bumpy, the handling will almost certainly become worse with lowering.

Looks like op UrS came from factory without sports running gear (yes, it is possible). UrS stock sports running gear springs should drop your car some, if that's not enough, you can start looking for aftermarket springs.
All quattro products have been dermatologically tested, and are safe for daily use.

Find out what the colour code is for oem sports springs, source them second hand, check if your dampers are tired, replace with new factory oem sport ones if affordable, or konis or bilstein.

You could also consider the idea of a set of coilovers which would give you the desired ride height, and if it's too stiff change the coilover springs to softer ones, an expensive way of arriving where you want to be though. Do Weitec do a suitable coilover kit?

                HTH.

                Kind regards.

Mine looks high, but rides firm enough, and sits next to my mates RS2 the same, if not lower.
Whats a good compromise?, I dont want to start going through mounts and bushes.

It does look a little high but it handles well so I cannot complain about that and I do drive it!!
I have seen higher standard ones.
I don't want to go to low due to the bumpy Devon roads but a slight derease in ride height would benefit cosmetically.
All replies noted so far thanks
