    Steering Brakcet

Not worth the risk of it breaking again. Replace it is my recommendation.

For the sake of a few quid buy a new one, not worth the risk.

indeed, better change it. And if you go for a secondhand one maybe it's worth the effort to reinforce it.

Any welding on the steering componants is a MOT failure anyway..

Well a weld should be more than fine.

And as for a MOT fail.... Well go look at any real race car you don't get the **** steering arms a S2 has that's for sure

Welded and after 17 years not a crack in them anywhere.

I have known cars to fail a mot for welded steering arms though so its a fair point, just depends if your mot tester knows what he is looking at or not.
