    Front hub bolt

Hi All, a quick question/or two, I have to replace a front outer cv boot (3b coupe), is it ok to re-use the hub bolt? I'm thinking not, if not where's a good place to get one, also where to get a good after market boot kit? has anyone used those stretch boots where you use a cone to stretch over the hub bearing? (I guess this saves taking the bearing assembly off of the shaft).
    Thanks Condor

you should replace them but I have reused them in a pinch while waiting for new ones, and never had a problem, just do them up ****ing tight. Having said that if you do have a problem it involves the bearing separating and the hub & wheel coming off
so yeah I'd spend the extra few ££ and replace them.

Never understood the need for the fitting kits its not tricky.

Remove outer CV from shaft, fit boot to shaft, fit CV to shaft, do up clips. done.

TAF doesnt do it properly... let me dig out the torque procedure... its a stretch bolt so should not be used except in 'emergency'

This senterbolt does NOT hold the bearing and hub together... its ONLY for the outer cv..NOTHING hold the bearing in the hub, only the tight bearing housing hold it, an the little c.clips in the propshaft...
