CV joint clip & washer question.

Hi everyone, I have to replace outer split cv boot on the front of my 3b coupe I bought a boot kit which has a "C" clip and a curved washer, as I've not done a boot replacement before can some advise me as to where the curved washer fits please? I take it the "C" clip goes on the end of the driveshaft and the cv joint clicks onto it when it's being re-assembled? is there a right or wrong way to put this clip on?
Your advise welcome on this please, the kit has x2 boot clips, grease, a new hub bolt, and the already mentioned washer and c clip.
I'm about to fit a brake upgrade on the front will the driveshaft move enough for me to get the cv joint off then replace the boot and re-assemble? I'm thinking not to take the shaft off the car but maybe things would be easier if I did, what do you all think?
    Thanks Condor

That guide pretty much covers it, when you remove the CV joint there is a plastic spacer with that washer behind it, just make a note of its orientation so you can put the new one on the same way around. Spring clip goes onto the end of the drive shaft.

Thanks for the offer of help, if I get stuck I'll give you a shout, next job on the list is the cv boot, will I be able to undo the hub bolt with just the front two wheels on the ground? the car is on blocks and I have the rear wishbones off at the moment.
I've looked at the guide on Mikes site, very helpful.
