I have found the email on the forum, but i cannot get a responce as i need urgently a set of promounts by the end of the month....
i used all the right words on the email heading to avoid the email becoming a spam, but no response. Anyone knows an alternate way of getting in touch?
thanks
vasilis
Perhaps he changed his mind, although I'm reasonably sure he wasn't keen on posting his address publicly on this forum in the past at least. I know I wouldn't post my address on a forum anyway. Not worth arguing about.
It never ceases to amaze me that some folks assume we all are Siamese'd to the internet 24/7. Getting a response from someone is not constitutional right, nor is it simply a matter of uttering the appropriate incantations (but perhaps spelling and capitalization does count for something, always a sign of youth, haste and an unhealthy sense of entitlement).
Just because you can send a letter as soon and easily as thinking about it doesn't mean it will be also read and responded to with similar speed. It's just mail, relax.

No you don't. You will survive this self-imagined emergency. Your car has survived what, 15 plus years without them so far? It is exactly this kind of over-enthusiasm I'm sure that caused VAP to close-down his web-site and limit all contact to one single means.
Perhaps if you'd gone and done the reading I suggested you would have seen this;
The Audi Enthusiast website. Forums for all Audis including A4, S4, A5, S5, A6, S6, allroad, A8, S8, TT, R8, Q5, Q7, 4000, 100, 200, v6, v8, vintage, local forums

Lago Blue, firstly i dont like your attitude and your responses on the other thread as well, but i thought of not giving you the benefit of an internet dispute or conversation as you dont know me and i dont know you and things can be misinterpeted. But now, i think you have gone a bit too far.
I DO need the mounts by the end of the month, because my car will be in pieces by then and thats when i need them to get them fitted. NOT 2 months later not 6 months later. OK?
I never knew about the pro-mounts nor cared about them that much as im not bothered with having the super extra precise steering that will get my stomach twirling with enthusiasm on every turn.(as you pleasantly described of their superiority on the other thread). So now that i found that i can potentially fit them + im having the opportunity since the car is having a major rebuild, what's all the fuss with the attitude?
It has been stated that he gets a lot of spam and my assumption was that he may not have gotten the email at all, even though it was sent in the appropriate way. The reason of this thread was to see if there was any other way of people who do watch this and other forums if they could get in touch with him. I'm not that hot to get registered on a completely new forum just to get in touch with a person that makes a product that could potentialy work for me. Thanks, but no thanks.
As you say, not everyone is on the internet 24/7, but yet you expect me to have done homework OR know that Mance was ill and had an operation and therefore could not be answering his emails. There!more proof that i dont spend 24/7 on the forums either and didnt know he was ill. Im not even a member on that forum, not a member on any US based forum for that matter, so there was no way of knowing.
Thanks for your kindness of informing me about Mance's surgery and thanks for your guidance as to what and how i should go about finding parts for my car. i will surely take no lessons from you, so you wasted a bit of time there patronising. Perhaps you need to do that in your life, maybe not getting enough of it outside the internet. Im not here to judge...
You may think its my youth and my urge to build my youthly car to go out and burn some rubber. I'll urge you to do your homework as well, since most definitely you haven't which is why you became offensive on the very first instant. As i mentioned above, maybe we caught you at a bad time, and you need to blow off some steam. There are other ways to do that, but i will admit one of them is going on the offence X miles accross the world.I dont think ill actually bother with promounts after these encounters to be honest, as i am not that well educated, hardcore racing driver you seek for your products to do justice+ i fear that if the mounts do go pear shaped and damaged, ill have enough trouble getting some feedback when i see your manners. I'll stick to the good old fashioned solutions, and definitelly keep my distance from people like you!
Your brief encounter made much wiser, and i thank you for that. Indeed there are more imporant things to tackle(even just on a car!!!) than breath taking steering. I hope Mance does not use you too much for his marketing division though... it may be bad for business.
