Powerflex Coupe Rear Diff Mount Bushing

    Hello All,
As part of my ongoing suspension rebuild I want to change the Diff mount bushing. The bushing + housing from audi is too expensive.

Is the powerflex item a good replacement or is there a better option?

Thanks in advance, your opinions are appreciated as always.

Its meant to be stiffer which could lead to more driveline shunt if the other bushes are a bit tired.

ive put one in mine but all the bushes have been renewed.

I have a housing if you want one, all cleaned and painted!

Not a mod I'd recommend I hated it worst thing I did to the Coupe, others on the forum agree some like it , you can buy the OEM bush seperate by the way part number 171 199 214 D

Thanks to both of you for your input and quick replies.

Will my housing is good but the bushing is the original.

Jamo, you're a legend. That's exactly what I'll get, I had been told that part was not available.

If its not from audi, it should be from Pete at quattro corner.

I have the powerflex bushing on mine, I dont notice any major adverse issues but I did renew all other mounts at the same time. From the comments on the forum I thought I would seriously regret it, but I dont see the issues that are discussed. This is not a recommendation for the powerflex though, just my simplistic opinion.

Hi Mark, why doesn't that surprise me?? It's probably on here somewhere already but I couldn't find it. Great news.

I've only this and some drop links remaining on the suspension shopping list. Someday in the next while I'll get these 2 subframes back in and move on to more important things.

Interesting view, did you go for soild subframe mounts by the way? IIRC you were waiting for a powerflex delivery at one stage, did you go for powerfles everywhere else?

My gut feeling is to use the part no listed by Jamo as my 1st preference.

                      Solid bambridge mounts all round.

I was waiting a good while for the powerflex set for the avant last July, but I ordered them them soon after the build back up after the fire. It was from a company called rallynuts. I have not ordered powerflex parts from them since.

TBH it was probably more the OCD in me that compelled me to go powerflex centre rear diff to match the rest of the car. Not a good reason to go for it though lol.

If the rest of your driveline is sloppy it will show it up. I have new engine mounts, gb mounts, and subframe bushes, along with the Powerflex rear diff mount and the car feels perfect...

                        Cheers,
