Ah that explains it ...and speaking of ECP, I hear on the grapevine that they've just been bought by an American individual or firm ...hopefully this won't be to the detriment of the parts availability.

If it were me i would only fit poly bushings, superflex or powerflex whatever you can get your hands on. Original bushings dont last more than a few months for me, mainly due to our roads.
I bought my balljoints from Pete, think they were Lemforder. Note the cast a-arm ball joint is NOT the same as a pressed a-arm, dont mix them up.91CQ20v - Gone to a new home

Whats is the difference? I have used ball joints from my old pressed arms on my forged wishbones no problemsIf it were me i would only fit poly bushings, superflex or powerflex whatever you can get your hands on. Original bushings dont last more than a few months for me, mainly due to our roads.

Ill see can i dig out a few old ones and snap a pic, from memory the main difference is the location of the mounting flange \ height of the balljoint. If you think about it on pressed arms the flange sits in the middle or centerline or the a-arm, with the forged arms the flange is bolted on the bottom. A friend did the same using pressed balljoints on a solid arm but i immediately spotted it when i looked under the car, the difference was that obvious.
Part Numbers are,

895 407 366 A Forged Right

Why did they decline to fit the engine mount? It is not a fun job but not impossible by any means.
Regarding the ball joints, do they mount fine on the "wrong" arms? Could they be used for better arm position on lowered cars by swapping them over?Current-2004 Impreza PPP wagon

interesting, never noticed any difference, but then maybe I've never seen the two different typesIll see can i dig out a few old ones and snap a pic, from memory the main difference is the location of the mounting flange \ height of the balljoint. Be keen to see some pics if you have some Mark?
If the 8A0 joints are "taller" then using them on a forged arm you are effectively increasing the length of the McStrut so on a lowered car you're raising the roll centre in relation the CoG and reducing body roll - so David -
