Is this a common fault there is quite a bit of movment in my steering wheel i took the air bag off to check iff the wheel nut was loose it was tight i then rocked the wheel back and for and there is movment at the top of the colum. I noticed yesterday when braking going down hill the steering was shaking badly, first off i thought i might of droped a balance weight but the car was ok at speed. Anyone had this problem before and what is the cure
The vibration on the brakes is likely "warped" discs, caused by build up of pad material and super hardened parts of the brake disc giving an uneven surface to it. The steering column shouldn't be loose though, i'd have a look at that!
