        Initial Impressions

Well the front end is done
Not really had a chance to assess it fully yet, and dont want to push it until the Rear is bought up to spec. But the initial feel is very good.
I ended up with S2 springs, Bilstien Dampers, blue top mounts, new ARB drop link bushes, 2 new front wheel bearings.
I have also now discovered it needs a bottom ball joint and possibly a CV joint
Its so much tighter that I can now tell what s going on at the front end which is nice

Ride height is pretty similar, roll is reduced as is pitch and dive under braking.
The new dampers keep it very composed and I now want to replace the rears as well (Was just going to do the springs)

The steering feel is lighter and yet sharper, if you push it it stll understeers, then push it some more and it drifts nicely but without all the wallowy boat feel it had before, and at a higher speed too.
It just feels much more composed, stiffer but still a nice ride quality.
Outright grip is difficult to quantify at the moment with the various selection of shagged Nippon Nevergrips masqueradeing as tyres.
I have got some 15" coupe wheels to go on and some 195/60/15 Viking Stop snow tyres, 2 months old bought off ebay for a vast expense of £20
So they should at least give me a starting point once the rears are done as well.
I will then set up the alignment properly and have a play with Camber settings

Stereo is prety much in, just need to finish the new `glassed sub box
The 2up 2down new Cibie Lamps have been sold on ebay as I won a full set of 6 PIAA Lamps in Pods
4 across the bonnet and 2 fogs in Corner Bumper pods...... Bonnet one fits straight on, I have made 2 new Bumper ones to take the Fogs.

All in all it should be a nice cheap Alpine tool that looks the part as well, Its not a minter by any stretch but its pretty decent and does the job.

Sorry for the war & peace post but You did ask to be kept updated
Will not leave it so long next time, and will take some pics at the weekend
        Cheers
        Dom
