  • how to mount chassis audi s2 on sedan type 85?

    Hello

I am looking for any information in order to mount the gear on my audi S2 sedan type 85 quattro keeping my box 016
Currently I have all of ur quattro already mounted.
I heard about the problem of gimbal S2 too long or short etc. ...
I also have to take the cradle etc ...?
    What are the difficulties?

    Thank you.

its bolt on.... and you may mix the parts; they will fit ...
the 5 pot subframe doesnt have the ear/ fastener for the 4pot engine in... and the q subframe does have dual gearbox fastener in the subframe, the rest will fit... grab the tools , man, and go on..

Ok thank you very much guy.

Just a precision, i already have all of the UR quattro mounted on my T85 Sedan, and the AAN for in the engine bay.
So it would be finally ok i think...do you confim?

              Thanks.

yeah, remeber the ratio for the gearbox and the rear end need to be the same: for the rear end its stamped in by the oildrainplug like AEC
and for the tranny by the upper boltholes in the bellhousing: like CBL 12345... the letter are the YEAR and ratio.... the urq did have 3,889 ratio and the other did have 4,111 and 4pots 4,560....

Sorry ...i Didn't precised that i have all of UR on my sedan except gearbox and rear transmission so actually no ratio's problem 37/9 everywhere

not sure it has been covered above or not but you need to fit the flywheel from a 016 engine aswell,ur/100/200 etc I think the non turbo flywheels have a smaller diameter than the turbos

I used ur flywheel and clutch with a roller bearing pressed into the end of the crank. I am about to mount full s2 subframes, Hubs etc to my 90q whilst keeping the original gearbox and diff. I guess I'll have to swap the inner cvs over or are they the same?

                              Hello guys.

I think i am not understood

I already have the AAN put on my T85 with all of UR quattro except gearbox and rear
And the engine starting yet all that is already ok.
For information i used 3B(200) flywheel with UR flywheel's roller bearing pressed into the end of the crank to, with a 3B clutch mecanism and UR disk

My project now is to keep my 016 gearbox and rear and put all the rest off S2 (shafts, struts, steering bar etc...).
