Has anyone experienced trouble trying to fit the wishbone to the subframe after you've inserted the poly bush in the cast wishbone. I'm finding it impossible to fit the wishbone along with the nylon washer to the subframe. The rears were a doddle. I've used ample copperslip and a big hammer with a lump of wood but having no luck
If the subframe has been powdercoated or painted with something like POR15 it will make it harder to get them in as the coating is thicker than the OE 2k paint. Still you shouldn't need a hammer!
ive just done mine on freshly coated subframe and had to use a jack, arms pointing downwards, balljoint on jack and jack them upwards. was a pain in the *** and i only had 2 nylon washers to put on 1 arm each as thats what came with the kit..
Subframe & wishbones have both been powder coated, and they are off the car which makes a difference, lost count how many times I've lost & found the nylon washers.. I'll try again today.
Unfortunately not, Only 2 per arm as that's what came when i bought them and i just assumed it was right. And after posting on here about it im not the only 1 lol. When i did mine it was if the arms were too wide?? Try a small ratchet strap on the the arms to pull them together... Maybe they relax a little when in the oven after coating
hmmmm I wonder if too many washers have been put in my box then? will look at the instructions but I'm sure it says 4 washers.. School run is looming, I'll be in the garage after that and come back to you..
