grinding/moaning steering at trackday?

Mine does the same moan on right handers and very hard braking but its not the steering.
The sump touches the crossmember... new engine mounts needed...

but then I'd have it from the start, and it only comes up after a while of hard cornering and to each corner. Also hard braking is never a problem.

well the pump is still under waranty, and the rack would be pretty bad news indeed It isn't leaking however.

Have to say I dont get knocking. I get moaning whirring noise and steering feels like assistance comes and goes. Let it cool for 30-40mins and all is well again. What else can it be with those symptoms? unless the pump bearings are getting tight when hot and the belt is slipping. Bearings getting tight and overheating could create some interesting temps. And prob kill a pump pretty quick too

Are the people without probs still on the original factory fitted pump?

some with me, had 50min between my 2 laps of Ring, and again the first 2-3km of the ring were fine, and then it started to get worse gradually.
