BTDT when i bought my avant. All it really needed was a slave cylinder and timing belt but before i knew it i had the engine/gearbox out, and all the suspension/subframes in a pile in the middle of the garage. I think its called "scope creep", but totally worth it when all said and done.
Just be careful you dont end up looking at box's of parts a few years down the road....real easy to fall into that trap.91CQ20v - Gone to a new home

dont tell the wife lol
Started last year had a few days free in the diary so said I would sort my clutch out just got the box out when people started wanting their cars fixed again
so it got shoved on the back burner any way the car was sitting with the box out for 8 months and it`s a heavy pig to push around.
so last week I said I`d put it back together but when I looked under I thought I should do the jobs that are easy with the box out, fuel lines,subframes, powersteering rack, pollybush`s ...:mischeif:
now I`ve got the bug and want to do that rather than other peoples **** but that wont pay the bills eh
