Longer but still stiff springs for 80 Competition

I plan on using my 80 Competition with a 4cyl turbo engine through out the winter for some sideways fun so I want to lift its suspension. It currently has the original Competition sport springs and I'm happy with the stiffness but I'm searching for something a little bit longer then the stock ones. Mostly for the front springs, as I'm currently doing a coil over conversion in the rear so they are going to be height adjustable. Can you suggest what front springs to use from some other B3/4 to lift the front end but still have approximately the same stiffness or stiffer? At front I'm with Koni Adjustables so I can compensate for the spring rates.

I was thinking about using front springs from a B3 5 cyl, but which one? Is it a good idea? Or S2 front springs, they should be the same height, but stiffer so they would lift the front end... Thanks!

there is no need for coilovers on the back. if you take the bilstein b8 for example, you can make new threads for the spring plate and rise it up a couple of cm

if you use s2 springs in front the car will rise a bit because the s2 engine is much heavier than the 4cyl coffee grinder.

That's the coilover setup I want to make in the rear - inspired exactly by your setup, so that's a decision that's already taken.

About the front - exactly because of the heavier engine I want to use springs from a 5 cyl. engine, but which ones? B3 5 cyl, S2, or...?

I'm pretty sure the R5 is the heaviest. Audi 90 2,3 20v (7A engine) could be a good option, but I don't know if the spring rate are different from the normal 90 2,3 with NG engine.

I'll probably have to experiment a little bit... according to ETKA there are dozens of different springs and no data about spring rates that I can find...

Yep, but those things are like boats, very soft springs but longer, that's why they seat higher. I want to lift the car with stiffer but short springs, just like my current competition springs ( called sport suspension by audi ). I got an offer for NM springs that I 'm gonna try and see what happens...

That are springs from a car with which engine? That's too much lift

That's why I want springs from a car with "sports suspension" and not the usual 8V springs, they sit high because they are long, not stiff, I want something stiffer than mine to lift the car... or at least that 's what I think before I try it.
