Steering Rack - 2 Turns lock to Lock - Any Good ?

As a pure track car yes it might be ok. IMHO it will be far too sharp and you will have little steering accuracy. The stock ABY/RS2 rack is 2.6 turns which is a quick rack by most standards. Yes the higher ratio requires marginally more steering effort but very little IME. You loose steering feel though, as you have less "resolution"across the range of the rack. Single input steering would be like stabbing at a grape with a cocktail stick after 6 pints.
Why do you ask?

mcandmar said it to me ages ago, and I didn't get it. i.e. that the steering rack in the B4 is much quicker than the C4, and after driving both for a while, I can 'see' it perfectly.
So was just wondering about how to quicken up the rack in a RHD C4, on the cheap, if it's real dear and has to be custom made wouldn't be worth it, would just have to spin the wheel more.
Just musing......Comment

Yes i have one, they are bloody awesome!
Best suited for a track car though like Alex said. You can really hack away at the wheel.ChefComment

The steering rack listed in the link is for the small chassis cars. I have yet to see anything listed for the larger C4 chassis. For my UrS6 I would like a quicker steering rack as it feels a little slow when turning. Suppose one could shorten the arms on the strut tube but that may alter Ackerman Angle unfavorably.
