Rear lower arm outer bush B4 Avant

So just been refurbing my rear drive shafts (clicky and snatchy) and I've noticed that the lower arm OUTER bush is kaput - nearly. I recon I'll have to cut out the camber adjuster bolt as it seems to be seized in the bush sleeve and even though I can rotate it to set up I suspect its turning the bush in the upright or the sleeve in the rubber. Anyway, to my point - I've done some digging and it seems the bush [8D0 505 171] is common to the A4 cars as well. I'm not much of a parts guy but has anyone used the bush from a 2.5td a4 or a 2.8q a4 on the s2? Also the bolt is [8A0 501 387] is that the same as the s2 one?

    Cheers

all the bits, wishbones etc are interchangeable

poly rear bushes are peanuts aswell and thats what i will be putting in my A4

i have an S2 diff and shafts, rear hubs and cradle in it.

used A4 rear hubs on my saloon when i converted it to 5 stud so all swops over

I've not been able to find a poly outer bush for the lower arm, all the others are easily available. Whereabouts you get your bush for the lower arm?

This is the one that is on the bottom of the hub with a large pinch bolt??

Proper pain when seized ! I ended up grinding all 3 that I removed from breaking s2s

is it a wishbone bush you want?

          or the lower upright bush?

if its the upright its actually a rosejoint style bush that pivots,
the bolt can be bashed out with a big hammer and punch, just grow a pair of balls and hit it lol

not had to chop any out yet thankfully

Yep cut it out , I had to cut mine out with a hacksaw, then grip one side of that bush in a vice and twisted the other side to break the seized bolt. I went oem for that bush

At the time i rebuilt mine there was no poly buses available so i went with OE Audi bushings. There is two different part numbers for S2/RS2 and later S4/RS4 age cars, having looked at them side by side i couldn't tell any difference, other than possibly made by a different manufacturer.

I dont think you have a choice, anyway its part no is 8a0505171c
Its more complex than a normal bush, which is why there is no poly equivalent I guess.

yep, as i said its a pivoting item like a rosejoint and cant be bought polybushed

i was looking at rosejointing my A4 upright, but cost and function are nowhere near sensible so just go O.E
