    Subframe bolt torque & sizes

    Hi,

can anyone tell me the correct torque settings for the front (12mm) and rear (10mm) subframe bolts?

    Cheers,

    Mark.

I've only got info for the front setup (although as the bolts are the same the settings are probably the same for the rear)

    M10 bolts 35Nm + further 90º

    M12 bolts 70Nm + further 90º

    HTH,

    Ben

Think of a clock face. After the bolts are torqued to the proper setting, turn the bolt from the 12:00 posistion to the 3:00 posistion. The cracks in the
metal near the subframe area is not good. It indicates that the metal in that area has been overstressed & needs to be repaired.

Am I right in thinking that these bolts conform to standard sizes? i.e. M10 will have a 17mm head and the M12 19mm head?

I need to confirm to Pete @ QC which size supaflex bush I need for my front subframe...

              Thanks,

              Steve.

Quite often the replacement M10 bolts have a 18mm head just to cause confusion. M12 should be 19mm

Give that man a prize. 18mm Head for an M10 Bolt.

CORRECTION. I was a dunce when I measured the bolts. They are in fact M12 with an 18mm head.... New subframe bushes on the way.
