    Strut paint

Can anyone recommend a decent paint for struts? I have converted over to Compbrake coil overs and they are ready for another lick of paint, as the Carplan engine lacquer flakes/chips all too easily, worse than Hammerite - if that is possible!
Powdercoating has crossed my mind as an option.

If you can find somewhere to do it I would get the tubes cad plated, then paint over with 2K. Its probably the only thing that will ever stop them rusting

I've got 2k on my struts and por15 on most other parts. The problem with hammer***** is that water gets under it and rusts it out and all looks fine on the outside. I've had this with a few parts.

How tough is Powder coating...does it flake and chip easily?

I galvanised and then por15ed my subframes and wishbones. I dunno how powder coating would go with the threads on coil covers though.

Por15 is extremely expensive - per volume. I will investigate the powdercoating option, as there is a wheel refurb workshop, close to work. Plating and 2K sounds like a good solution also...Id rather use kids poster paint before Hammerite though lads
