    Subframe refurb

I have broken a few cars now so have got a few spare suspension/brake parts lying around.
Don't get to excited its only 2.6 saloon, Coupe, 90 20v cars ive broken

This thread is about a solution ive got that gets rid of rust from metal parts. Its apparently harmless/organic, you dilute 1 part solution to 10 parts water, its better if you can keep it in an air tight container.

Ive been using it on subframes, B3/B4 rear axles, wishbones, brake calipers. Ive got pictures of the results but non of the parts before

hmmm interesting, white vinegar gives this kind of result? I have a spare, crusty 3b rear subframe, be interested to see if it could give the same results!

don't know its official name, the bloke I get it from just calls it de-rusting solution. The containers I get it in don't have labels

                          Rust remover

just realised I've recently bought some from machine mart it's called rust remover it only comes in 1 litre. I first tried it on some panels and it started fizzing as the liquid touched the rust did not remove it straight away had to apply several times and left it to soak for a couple of hours came back and the rust had gone

Ive been taking the parts out regularly and pressure washing them off. If there is rust under the paint then it will flake off.
