RS2 KW V3 damping cartridge replacement

I have the older version ( pre 2011 ) of KW V3 in my RS2. The car has not been running much and the bump stop cracked and hence I damaged the damping cartridge ( as they call it ) when going through big bumps ( damper bottomed and damaged the valve I guess ). I like to know :

    1. if the damping cartridge is available as a spare part, or I have to buy a completely new set which includes the casing ? If so, any one has the part number ?

    2. If they don't sell the old version anymore, would I have to replace both the front with the new V3 ? I heard that the new V3 is virtually the same as the old one except for a newly designed adjustment knob. Can I just buy one "new" V3 and have it work with the old V3 on the other side.

    Thanks

Have you tried contacting KW support/customer services for the information you need?

In my experience Kw are pretty good with this kind of thing. They might offer you a pair of replacement legs at a discounted rate if they cant supply a suitable part to fix the coilovers.

I got in touch with Alan. Thanks.

Still, comment on whether I can use different set in the front and the back is welcomed.

I would say that you would be fine to use different front and rear, as long as the y are the same left to right. You will probably re-use the springs, so no issues with spring rates...
When KW couldn't offer me new shocks for my rear V2's they offered me a pair of new V1 legs (minus springs) at a discounted price.

So maybe I can just buy a pair of V1 and use the existing spring. Too bad they don't say whether the springs are the same across V1 V2 V3.
