Coilovers finally available at reasonable cost

    Hello all,

Ive been looking for reasonably priced Audi 80 b4 coilovers for a few years now but not having much luck finding a set for under 1000euros.

Ive been in touch with a supplier over here that can get FK Highsport coilovers direct from Germany at a cost of 460euro or 380stg delivered.

He can get these for the saloon/avant platform and the coupe/cabrio platform.

If anyone is interested please message me for more details, and I will pass on the suppliers contact details.

As said above its the first set of coils I have seen at an affordable price for most.

(this is not a for sale thread or am I getting commission, just passing on info)

The quality isn't the greatest and I know of many issues with customer services being unresponsive if they do fail.
However at that price they are a very good compromise.

The FK Konigsport coilovers are actually pretty bloody good, what's the price on them compared to the Highsport?

            Fk coil overs

Agree with above the seals don't last very long especially if you've got bad roads, and there customer service is crap when you chase for parts they don't want to know and if you do get them get the konigsports but also ask if they do a stainless steel version usely it's a optional extra that's about it

Hi, let us know how you get on with them, thanks.

In other words, you go first and let the rest of us know.

Price is not expensive if the comfort is reasonable, and they last.

I presume the front shocks are not inserts, and so can't be replaced if they fail ?

I know that people fit this brand of coilover to MK3 Golfs as they are cheap but from comments left on that forum I think it's a case of you get what you pay for

I had these on my mk2 scirocco and thought they were good to be honest.

Can your supplier get them to fit coupe quattro?

Highsports have cheap dampers with ok ratings. Konigsports use Koni inserts and generally better all round. Metal quality and coatings are average. Last I heard FK wanted struts in part exchange for the Audi's along with a large deposit they like to argue about giving back. Useless company though, I used to be a dealer for them, but they were always sending out the wrong stuff then taking weeks to deal with it, if they respond at all.
