A view years ago I owned C5 S6 and I used H&R lowering springs 29798-2. H&R says that they lower about 40 mm. I used those springs together with Sachs dampers, which I belive were stock ones (front ones had code on them 4B3413031M). I was really pleased with the result - ride was not too harsh but the handling was good.

Shocks are either Bilstein B8 or Koni adjustable.

As above, rear springs lower a bit too much. You can either put a spacer between the spring top cap and top mount or fit some front springs to the rear (or some rears to the front, if you want it to go really low!

I have some Avant fronts that I am going to fit to the rear (with the coupe fronts at the front) as the TUV papers identify the Avant springs as having 0.5mm larger diameter spring material. Either way, it'll look much better.

Thanks guys, Your input is much appreciated. I think I’m going to try them first with stock S2 dampers and if I’m not satisfied, then.. I have to think again.

If they're old and tired, you're wasting your time. If they're new then while not ideal, they'll work.
