Quick check. About to purchase some new hyd fluid and was offered G004 instead of G002 and was told its the same, is that correct or do I need to get G002 only?

I believe G004000 has superseded G002000 now

Perfect, that's what I was told by the dealer but I have little faith in there knowledge when it comes to older cars to be honest.
I have a few brake bomb and steering issues on my V6 cab and I'm hoping a fluid flush will help.
