I replace the complete front suspension on my B7 S4 with Lemforder (OEM Supplier) components. Half the price of the original part.

Six months later I am replacing the complete front suspension again with Audi OEM. Paying the Audi full price on top of what I already paid out.

Ok its a different car but my point is I looked at every make possible and I thought I found the pot of gold from a German OEM supplier.

I must also say I know people who have only great things to say about Lemforder.

So my opinion is only ever use original parts were possible.

Very strange as the Audi parts are made by lemforder
Have you got lowered suspension as this can corse bushes etc to fail prematurely

Always used Febi or OE in the past, so just seeing what's about...

I was referring yo complete rear arms rather than just bushes, as I can't be bothered getting the old ones out

I have the standard S4 suspension from factory.

The one thing I thought may have been the cause of the failure was they could have given me an A4 kit which I am told uses softer bushes hence the possible reason for the failure.

In SA anything can and does happen.

For info when I did all this work I also replaced the inner CV (after market) and they also failed. will be replacing them with OEM.

Other parts fitted at the same time shocks, engine mountings and gearbox mountings with OEM they are still good.

It is possible I was just unlucky but were possible from now on I am only buying OEM.

The Lemforder SA people have agreed to give me a full refund. As have the CV people.
