Not used them but if they're cheap then why not. We all want HnRs but they rust within weeks. Eibachs tend to be softer than most if you go for the pro line version. Apex can be a good bargain; I ran them on my 318is but they did need adjusting to get them sitting right. Car drove very well on them but I know they have a reputation on the Clios of rusting more than some premium variants...

In short, pays your money, takes your choice...

Sometimes manufacturers share spring rates with older cars, do it can be worth asking first. I got HnR, Apex and Eibach rates for the BMW before buying

Dampers tend to be where the money should go.

Hi mate, if all you need are springs then I can help you out with a brand called Cobra, they're cheap but good quality and come with life time warranty!

Let me know if you like.

I can get high tec for £85 a set so may try them
Bit peeved really as I only need front ones as back are ok-
I think a lowered front must have broken so gimp previous owner cut down standard ones- which also broke!
May change shocks while I'm at it, Gsf did bilsteins at a good price last year

Hi Andy, yes you're right and I showed some interest in this and purchased a set for my cabrio to see what they're like, I'm very impressed so far.

I am putting something together as we speak for forum members in terms of a GB, so I hope this is ok with you?

In the meantime I will post a price for an S2 set. The added bonus with cobra is that they will alter the ride height of the spring(s) to suit the individual.

The HnRs sit too low at the back, so I've been looking to address this for a while.

I'd be interested in discussing spring rates and the compression of the spring under static load, as these are 2 further issues that I have with the HnRs. I thought about getting a set of springs made to my own spec but finding somewhere was a complete pain, so I gave up and stuck with the devil I know...

                    Hi,

The offering is 40/40mm for 2.6 & 2.8 Avant Quattro = £115.00 for the set.

You can alter the height individually upon request. i.e. 40/30mm or 30/30mm etc

And remember, these come with lifetime warranty too.

                    Thanks
                    Yaz
