S2 avant rear anti roll bar

I had my car on the ramp and to find a knocking noise i had coming from the rear. It turned out it was the rear drop links have had it. When i was looking i noticed the rear anti roll bar was heavily pitted rusted and flimsy. It got me thinking, can you fit another anti roll bar from newer avant? I had a quick google and the B5 quattro rear ARB look close. Has anyone fitted one before?

The b5 quattro is a common upgrade , as is the neuspeed rs4 rarb.

If you do upgrade the rarb you might want to reinforce the mounts like the neuspeed version.

Cool, will have a look! Will a B5 saloon rear ARB fit or does it have to be from an B5 avant?

saloon/avant have the same suspension so should fit.

I ran the RS4 RARB on my avant and it was good compromise with a standard S2 FARB...and these are ten a penny on forums like Audi SRS or RS246.com
