    URS6 rear arms

Has anyone got a part number for the adjustable top arms from the rear of an S4/6 suspension?
I put some aftermarket ones on last year and they are just that. . . . Cheap s**t that didn't even last a year!

    Arms

Same thing happened to me. Bought from a parts supplier in Germany but failed mot the next year. The ball joint end is ok it's the sleeve the bolt goes through. Stealers still supply the sleeve end at £110 each. Bought from a general supplier for £65 each. Hope these last the year.

I need some of these when i do my suspension rebuild. Makes me a bit dubious of where to get them from!!
Are they like wishbone bushes on a S2, the car needs to be on its wheels when the bolts are tightened? Maybe thats why the have failed?

No. They're a rose style joint. That method only applies to rubber bushes.

Yes that's exactly what's happened. I inherited an genuine Audi arm with an S4 I bought once so was going to pair up for genuine!

No I think it's just that the aftermarket stuff is just crap! FEBI ones will probably be ok!

                  C4 UrS rear suspension info

Those adjustable "arms" are called track control arms, 443505351P = Left, 443505352P = Right.

PNs easily found by clicking on the Rear Suspension label in this bookmark worthy (IMO) UrS System and Chassis Map:

According to others on here Febi is now rubbish and not the quality it once was.So not much better if at all than aftermarket crap. After reading several threads i would go for lemforder if the part you need is supplied by them as lemforder were a OE supplier plus from experience according to S6 threads Lemforder lasts well.Thats what i am doing with maybee one or two gen audi bits.

Lenmforder first, then Febi if you're stuck.

just a thought, is there no way a proper rose style joint can be fitted where the original joint is?

I tried this and ended up having to use a smaller diameter bolt to bolt it to the hub. Also had to make a spacer up ad the original isn't even if that makes sense. Wasn't comfortable with the compromised bolt so only ran it till I got some oem replacements.

I think from memory the arm is m12 but the hub end is 14mm. So using a m12 joint means you only have a 12mm bolt in the 14mm hub hole.

Those sizes are from memory, confirm yourself before ordering bits.
