Aby avant front subframe bushes

I have been getting a horrible banging noise from the front of the car when i hit bumps on the road. At first i thought the strut tops were away but after closer inspection it looks like the front subframe bushes are shot. The subframe has some surface rust on it so i am going to give it a tidy up.
Whats the best option for bushes, genuine audi bushes, poly bushes or alloy bushes?
The car is used as my daily with a bit of fast road and track use. Any advice would be apperciated.

OEM is very expensive now.

I would probably pick poly, the oem ones can be a bit of a pain to fit.

I put superflex subframe bushes in mine and I am very pleased with them,not that harsh.

I have still to check what size bolt i have on mine. Are the standard ones you have 12mm?
The offset ones you have. What sort of caster increse would i see and would there be any benifit on a road car? I have used caster increse bushes on fwd cars but never awd.

yes I have 12 mm

Standard B4 has ~2.1, after adding 10 mm you get ~3.2 caster

just a thought, could the banging be drop links??....if you do change the sub frame bushes I'd get new drop links....
