  • Meyle HD Top Mounts 2 Years on.

    Noticed the tracking had gone out so as part of investigations checked the top mounts:





    Pretty sure they didn't look like this when I fitted them!

    So have now fitted OEM mounts with Mance Mountsavers. Will be interesting to see how long they last. The tracking is still way out so off to Lodge Tyre again soon. Bloody roads!

          Mine did not last a year, a few months I think.

            Mine seem to have lasted quite a while and on our Maltese roads

            I only changed them in the summer just as a preventive measure. Next change will definitely be Rusty's top mounts

              Would be interesting to send these pics to Meyle directly and await their reply.
              It's clear the mounts are not up to the task for sure.

                They need to double the thickness of the steel skeleton the mount is formed on. Then they would last I think.
                Interestingly given how pathetic they look, I've never managed to kill the bearings, the mount itself always gives way first. Need some solid ones

                  Have bought HD Meyle before and everything has had poor milage on them, Control arms, bushings etc. no more Meyle for me...

                      After reading your comments in your thread a year ago Wrath i decided that Meyle were no good for me either on the S6 or any older audi. Lemforder it is for me or genuine Audi.

                        Mance/VAP would only do his Pro-Mount conversion on Boge/Sachs units, anything else was not worth it.
                        I am very happy with Compbrake units in few cars already.
