N/s front end,annoying knock

Been trying to track down this for ages now.There is a really annoying knock coming from the nearside front end somewhere or at least that's where it sounds like it is coming from.
I know sound can transmit itself through the car and sound like it is coming from somewhere else,but this is doing my head in.
Things checked or replaced are
Top mounts
wishbone bushes
lower ball joint
Track rod
Spring
Droplinks
Anti roll bar bushes
Sounds like it is coming from the passenger wheel arch area.Been in with lever bar trying to locate something loose,but no joy.

Any other ideas??

Low speed? I have one but think its the top mount. Have you partially removed air con? Could be a pipe rattling about in the engine bay...

I was convinced it was the top mount,but I have had that strut off loads and checked -re tightened and replaced.
Air con is still working and nothing taken off.

Are you on original struts. Could it be the retaining collar for shock insert?

I am on original struts but have checked that the retaining collar is tight

Shock ok? Knackered shock can knock.

Could be a subframe bush? See if you can get it onto an MOT shaking machine and have a good look.

Long shot but, Veneto_RS2 had a knock that drove him crazy for years in his RS2. Turned out to be the charcoal canister. It was loose and knocking around in behind the wing well lining.

Steering rack yoke & rack mounting bolts are worth a check too.

I am under that car nearly every lunch break to to figure out where this damn noise is coming from.If you listened you would say it comes from the passenger footwell.
The canister thing could be worth a look Tom,do you know how loud the knock was?
Subframe bushes have been replaced with powerflex ones

Could also be worn anti roll bar bushes?

Anti roll bar bushes once again have been replaced

I had a golf r for a while and had this issue. It turned out to be the fuel lines hitting the underneath of the car. Could ne worth a look.

over gentle bumps it is a slight knock but when you hit something a little bigger it sounds more like a clump.If I were to guess i would say its in the strut somewhere but this has all bee looked at
