    odd wishbones

Can you run a cast wishbone and a pressed wishbone together?
I currently have cast ones but one is bent and I found a spare pressed one in the shed so I was thinking maybe I can use this but I unlikely.
    Worth the question.

If anyone has a cast N/S front wishbone please let me know.

I can't see it being an issue at all, all they do is hold the wheel in place

Exactly, yes, but only as good as your bushes.

Passenger side is likely to be bent. I haven't actually taken the suspension apart yet to confirm this but the wheel isn't sitting straight so I am guessing this is the reason. I have a similar problem with my old 205GTI in the past.

I'm running both. The pressed is on the offside front. It was suggested on my refurb thread that there might be slight differences in the bushing locations...but there are a whole load of other issues with that wheel so can't comment yet.

Quick note, the balljoints are different between the cast ones and the pressed ones so you need to matching ball joint with the pressed arm.

I had one cast on the passenger side and one pressed on the drivers due to a garage bending my cast when they pressed in bushes, the pressed side made the side sit slightly lower and rub the tyre on the arch.

Okay well all those comments are useful so thank you.
May look out for a cast one or failing that go for the cheaper opting and get 2 pressed ones and sell the cast one.

The FORGED (not cast) arms have different ball joints than do the stamped ones. Stamped should be a two-hole setup while forged are 3-hole .

Yeah it's other way round, forged are 2 hole. Stamped there are 2 versions, early ones had 2 holes but balljoints are not compatible with the forged ones, and later ones were 3 holes.

For the time you are going to be running it, while waiting for a replacement, none of the above issues will cause you any trouble

That is assuming you have a ball joint in your pressed arm
