rears and 4 pot preseed arms are symetrical and 2 bolt ball joints. rears and 4 pot front arms are the same

5 pot s2 pressed arms are 30 quid each from ecp. they are offset and have a 3 bolt ball joint.

if you fit 2 bolt arms to the front and use adapters and brembos you wont get full lock. the arm catches on the caliper bracket as the balljoint bolts in the middle of the arm and not on the edge more so to speak.

weird. we only got so many of these cars in the USA.

i do recall seeing a 3 hole stamped, but never a 2 hole forged.

i put forged front and rear on mine BECAUSE they were 3 hole.

I saw these and think that I will just buy a pair of these rather than try and work out if the ones I have can work together. I also don't want to loose any steering lock when I install my Brembo's.

I may have to swap my powerflex bushes over though.

The bushes are a different size between the arms.

Personally I'd want both arms to be matched, either forged or pressed, any other way is Un-Germanic.

I run poly bushes and am fussy about ride and don't have issue with them.

Just to clarify, ALL S2 front wishbones have 3 bolts. Rear wishbones have 2. Incidentally these are the same as very early B3 & previous platform front arms.
Forged arms use different ball joints to the pressed steel arms.
Personally I wouldn't mix & match although I'm sure it's fine as a stop-gap as long as you get the alignment done.

Well I'll get two cheep ones for now, run the bushes that are in them for a bit before getting poly ones for them if they are different sizes.

Thanks for the advise and info guys.
